Louis Romao – Guitar Soloist

Connecticut guitarist Louis Romao has been named by the New Haven Advocate as one of Connecticut's ten most recognized guitar soloists two years in a row.

His NEGS program will include works by Bach, Domeniconi, Giuliani and Yocoh as well as his own compositions, reflecting his versatility as a performer and composer.

Marcos Puña - Guitar Soloist

First prize winner in more than four international competitions, Marcos Puña is one of the most sought after guitarists in South America.

He will use six and ten string guitars to perform the music of his native Bolivia, the Baroque works of Weiss as well as Argentine, Brazilian and Spanish favorites.

Yale School of Music, Guitar Department Showcase

Professional guitarists of the future will delight the audience with a variety of solo and ensemble works in this NEGS fundraiser event.

The bright and talented students of the Guitar Department at Yale School of Music will perform a variety of chamber music ensemble works. Renowned guitarist and department chair Benjamin Verdery will direct the concert.

Philippe Bertaud - guitarist/composer

A musician without borders, Philippe Bertaud's compositions feature his inspiration by the music of Asia, South America and Europe. In his NEGS performance he will perform classics of the guitar repertoire by Villa-Lobos and de Falla.

He will also bring some French air to Milford with his own compositions as well as by his singing and playing some French songs.
