Music of the Americas

American born guitarist Scott Sanchez has been recognized by audience members, concert presenters and reviewers for his artistry and solid musicianship. A graduate of Yale, Scott has toured throughout the United States and England, and has released 3 CDs on the Intraspect label.

The program includes works by: Antonio Lauro, Astor Piazzola, Leonard Bernstein, Dave Brubeck and Scott Joplin.

Silvana Saldaña/Javier BravoMusic of Argentina and
Latin America

Born in Buenos Aires, Silvana and Javier have become one of the most well-known Argentine guitar duos. Together they have performed in concert in South America and Europe. Their first duo CD features contemporary Latin, as well as new arrangements of tango and Argentine folk music.

Works by: Piazzolla, Guastavino, Pujol, Bellanati, Cobián and more.

Hartt School Guitarists

The guitar program at The Hartt School is the oldest and most developed performance-based program in the country. Graduating their first Bachelor of Music guitar major in 1968, they have expanded the program to offer master of music, doctor of musical arts, artist diploma, and graduate professional degrees.
